Mark Your Calendars Last Day of School Dismissal Times

June 23, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - CALENDAR REMINDER - Port Jervis Schools will have early dismissal TODAY Friday, June 23rd, the last day of school.  Secondary Schools will dismiss at 10:00 am, and students in Anna S. Kuhl and Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:00 am. Please mark this in your calendars and plan accordingly.

ASK Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony

June 14, 2017 - Port Jervis, NY - Recently, 2nd grade students from Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School went on a walking trip around town to Port Jervis Police Station, Fire Station Engine TWO, Port Jervis Free Library and finished up at Ben's Fresh for ice cream. A.S.K. 4th Graders Publish Books

June 13, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - The 4th grade students in Mrs. Niosi's class, Mrs. Bartsch's class and Mrs. Trochiano & Leroy's class all participated in a classroom publishing project. A.S.K. donates $2167.81 to Outdoor Club of Port Jervis

June 12, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - The third grades at Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School recently held a walk-a-thon to benefit The Outdoor Club of Port Jervis. The purpose of the walk-a-thon was not only to promote the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle, but also to teach the children the importance of community service and that no one is too young to make a difference.  Collectively the students raised $2,167.81 which is an incredible accomplishment. June 6, 2017, ASK, Port Jervis, NY - All Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School Kindergarten Classes scheduled for the Field Trip TODAY to Country Ark Farms, be advised this field trip has been Rescheduled for Thursday, June 8th, leaving ASK at 9:05am.

STEM Fair 2017 - Winners Announced!

May 26, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School held the 6th Grade STEM Fair, Wednesday, May 17th, in the ASK gym. This event showcased the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) talents of our 6th graders. Participants take what they have learned about the scientific process and use that knowledge to create an experiment for display. The projects are tested to prove, or disprove the student’s hypothesis.  STEM aims to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and collaboration skills.  MORE>

Career Day 2017 at A.S.K.

May 24, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - Students in Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School grades 4 through 6 had an opportunity to interact with area leaders in business, industry, education, and public service at the 2017 A.S.K. BIO BUS stops at A.S.K.

May 19, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - The Bio Bus, a mobile solar powered education lab, rolled into the parking lot of Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School to give students a chance to learn more about biology. Staffed by two scientists, each with doctorate degrees in biology, the Bio Bus gives students a hands-on science experience. For more info and Pictures, click HERE>

D.A.R.E. Graduation 2017

May 19, 2017, Port Jervis, NY - With family in the audience, fifth graders from Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School took to the high school stage and received certificates upon graduating from the D.A.R.E. Program, Thursday, May 11th.  D.A.R.E. is a comprehensive program designed to teach students good decision-making skills to help them lead sage and healthy lives. PHOTOS HERE>

Ey Named 2017 New York State Assistant Principal of the Year

March 24, 2017 - Port Jervis, NY - Port Jervis City School District Superintendent Thomas Bongiovi had the pleasure to announce that Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School Assistant Principal Nicole Ey has been named New York State Assistant Principal of the Year for 2017 by the SAANYS/NAESP. This award showcases the excellence in leadership Mrs. Ey has shown as a valued member of our district. “Nicole Ey is a leader we are proud to call our own. Nicole takes pride in the fact that when she has an idea, she not only puts that idea into motion, but also stands alongside with others to see it through.” Said Bongiovi. A state-wide awards reception and ceremony is planned in the Albany region for early May.
