Bucket Filler Program
HBE
Character Education Program
Our
school's new Character Education program is based on the
philosophies of Bucket Filling 101 and The Seven
Habits of Highly Effective People.
The Bucket “Fill-osophy” sends a
simple, yet profound message. We all carry an invisible bucket
in which we keep our feelings about ourselves. When our buckets
are full, we are happy;
when they are empty, we are sad. We can fill or dip into our own
bucket or the buckets of others. The simple, tangible metaphor
of a bucket helps even Kindergarteners understand that our words
and actions affect others and ourselves.
Remember, if
you see a bucket... FILL IT UP!
HBE Gets in the Habit of Filling Buckets
HBE's new Character Education program is helping students to
realize that in order to be a highly effective person, you must
be a Bucket Filler.

the program. The PowerPoint presentation was shared with the
Board of Education Jan. 10.
Bucketheads of the
Month
The HBE Buckethead of the Month Club recognizes students who
exemplify the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Each
month, the Character Education program focuses on one of
the seven habits. Teachers will select the student in his/her
class who best exemplifies that month's habit. The "Bucketheads"
will be recognized with a certificate and a special luncheon
with our Principal Ms. Korycki.
