Middle
School Teams
Students at Port Jervis Middle School are
grouped into small learning communities or teams. With the team
concept, students benefit from working with a group of teachers
in the core subject areas: ELA, math, science, social studies.
This provides the teachers a better opportunity to get to know
the students and to monitor their progress. Teachers also benefit from having
more time to collaborate with each other. The result: teachers can
modify and differentiate their instruction, and students make connections across
disciplines.
