Hall of Fame Banquet & Induction Ceremony
October 7, 2012
This year’s Alumni
Hall of Fame inductees all took different paths in life after
graduating from Port Jervis High School.
Betty Jane Polanis, Hugh Spangenberg and Frank Bell all remained
in their beloved hometown, where they raised their
families and became pillars of the community. Senator Brian
Bushweller, Dr. Daniel Decker, Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, and Gay Trovei
left home to pursue careers in areas where they have become
leaders in their chosen fields.
None of them ever forgot their roots. At the October 7 induction
banquet, they attributed their success - and their
deep-seeded commitment to help others - to the strong foundation
they received growing up in small town.
