Safer Routes to School Survey
The Port Jervis City School
District and Port Jervis Police Department are working together
to seek funding from the federal Safe Routes to School program
to provide students with safe, appealing routes to walk to
school. The goal is to improve student safety and reduce traffic
within a two mile radius of Port Jervis Middle School and Anna
S. Kuhl Elementary School so that more students will walk or
bike to school.
As part of the grant application process, the Police Department
is seeking input from parents of students who live within
walking distance to school to identify the types of
road/sidewalk safety changes they feel are needed.
Parents have two ways to
provide feedback for the Safe Routes to School grant:

completed survey to the District Administration Building, 9
Thompson Street, or your child’s school office. Completed
questionnaires can also be faxed to 845-858-3252.
We ask that you please return/submit completed surveys by August
15.
